Cochabamba, Que Linda!

Cochabamba, How Beautiful!

Steph and I made it to Bolivia!! and Cochabamba the city, which we finally just visited is more than i can describe. The beauty here makes no sense, just like in any other place deserving of love, and so i am excited to get to know it better.
We live in villa juan XXIII a community about 15 minutes outside of the main city.

my family is kind.. there is walter, ellie, patricia, patricia´s daughter adrianne who is 2 or 3, uh the sister who is my age but of course i´ve forgotten her name, and Jaime. i like them more and more(let´s be honest...in new situations the recluse in me wins out), and while i still spend a a lot of the evenings in my room, it is my safe haven...and i have peace

Classes are good, today i had a teacher whom i liked very much and so i will request her for the remainder of my time here. My spanish is coming along and for the first time in the few days we´ve been here i feel like these two weeks of lessons might be worth something...that it might help in the next coming months.

Tomorrow we are going to Incajuata (yeah, no idea how to spell that one)...Inca Ruins that are about 3 hours away with some other students from our school. We have an archeologist among us so we will be sure to have a more authentic tour.

I am eating well (perhaps too well) and am getting over my cold. I eat meat for two meals a day and its fine and tasty. i´d get kicked out of bolivia if i was still vegan...of that i´m positive...one of my spanish teachers took joy in letting me know.

There is still a lot to adjust to, i find it hard to believe i will be here for so long, but i know it will pass just as i take it, day by day

ciao,
amy
